In an effort to meet the needs of our neighbors in this rural community, we have opened our kitchen to parties seeking a licensed facility in which to produce their “home-made” goods. 

Our kitchen may be used by those wishing to develop culinary goods to sell at Farmer’s Market, caterers, chefs doing recipe testing, and anyone who has an interest in cooking or baking for public consumption. 

Under Washington State law, food products to be marketed to the public must be prepared in a Health Department licensed kitchen. 

The kitchen will be available for use only during hours that St. James Family Center child care/preschool is closed or not being used by the Center.  Scheduled kitchen time is available on a first reserved, first served basis.  Advance reservations are required.  Cancellations require a 24 hour notice.  “No Shows” will be billed for their reserved time. 

Prior to use of the kitchen, rental fees and deposits must be paid, and you will be asked to sign a user agreement which will include the rules and requirements of use, and be asked to provide a copy of your current Health Department issued Food Handlers Permit.
